Through the Los Primos Grant, we create meaningful opportunities for young artists to explore their potential and experience the power of creative expression. In doing so, we ensure Jack and Kevin’s influence continues to grow, keeping their memories alive in ways that inspire hope, healing, and connection across borders.

Although Jack and Kevin are no longer physically present, they remain deeply woven into the cultural and emotional fabric of their families and communities. Their stories continue to inspire others to imagine, explore, and express themselves. By supporting artists, we help ensure that the energy and imagination they brought to the world continues through others.

Why Mexico
Mexico holds a meaningful place in our shared story. It is a landscape of friendship, family, and cultural expression that shaped many of the experiences and relationships connected to this mission. Mexico is also a country with a powerful artistic history. Yet many talented creators there still lack access to resources and platforms that allow their work to reach a wider audience.
Supporting programs in Mexico reflects Jack and Kevin’s belief in creativity as a universal language. It strengthens ties between families and communities while opening doors for emerging artists to find belonging and visibility. This initiative uplifts voices that deserve to be seen and heard, and it fosters connection between people, places, and creative traditions.
A Philosophy of Connection
Creativity through Connectivity represents both the purpose and the approach of this program. Art grows through relationships, shared experiences, and the courage to express what is difficult to speak. Creativity allows us to carry forward memory while also shaping a new future.
This program connects past to future, grief to growth, and personal expression to community strength. Through this work, we honor those we have lost by helping others find their voices. In doing so, we keep compassion, creativity, and connection alive.
The Los Primos Grant
In honor of Jack and Kevin, the Los Primos Grant sponsors a month-long artist residency experience at Cobertizo in Jilotepec, Estado de Mexico. Art was a source of joy for them both, and offering artists dedicated time and space to create is a powerful way to carry that joy forward.
Each year, grant recipients are given the opportunity to immerse themselves in an international creative community. Their work is supported and their perspectives are celebrated.
